OUTREACH
What is it? Many people think that outreach means going out with some tracts and telling people that they need to become just like you or they are going to hell.
That is not Outreach. Outreach is leading by example. When we look at the best example of all time, Jesus Christ, we find that He never went and told someone;
"Hey, you're going to hell if you don't beleive I am God!" No, he befriended someone by example. Servanthood.
Hey, when I was in the world, no one had to tell me that I was going to hell, I knew it.
When someone's life is messed up, they already know they are messed up. They want answers as to how they can get out of where they are at.

And for heavens sake don't just say, "Just accept Jesus and everything will be ok." The only way to get their attention is to show you really care about their life and their future.
A Christian really needs to count the cost of evangelizing.
The people that God brings your way are your responsibility, all the way until they are secure in a church. you need to be prepared to disciple them and give them a firm foundation in their faith. Most of all, you need to love them just as Jesus loved you.
That is the most important thing in OUTREACH.
The only way to do that is to follow what Jesus did. That was serving them and meeting their needs right where they are. If they are hungry, feed them. If they need clothes, clothe them. If they need to find a job, help them find one. Most of all, if they need to be loved, which I find most do, then love them. The correct way to spell outreach is SACRIFICE.
